Yurtis Mayfield returns to Faoi Thalamh with ''Of Comets and Kings''; a collection of five improvised techno sessions, recorded live using only external hardware.

Eager to take a step back from programming solely in Digital Audio Workstation's such as Ableton, Yurtis utilizes external hardware such as the MPC One, Roland TR6-S and Behringer MS-1 for this techno outing.

Fusing classic 909 rhythms, detroit-style arppegiated loops and old-school SH-101 type bass leads, Yurtis embarks on an interstellar journey exploring the similarities between many characters in medieval Irish narratives and the historical appearance of comets. Inspired by ''The Celtic Gods: Comets in Irish Mythology'' by John McCafferty.
